'Strength, identity and power': here's Cork GAA's new home kit for 2027 season

The new kit will be debuted in Cork’s hurling and football league fixtures in January.

THE CORK FOOTBALLERS and hurlers will have a new home kit for the 2027 season.

The new home jersey, which was launched today, brings a modern mix to some classic imagery and traditional values. Cork’s signature ‘blood and bandage’ tribute features a return of the red collar, and a fresh appearance for the white stripes.

Within the deep red hues of the new strip, the Cork GAA crest is subtly silhouetted, featuring the emblematic castles and ship that appear on the county’s emblem.

The new home jersey will make its debut in Cork’s football and hurling league fixtures in January.

An official in-store launch will take place in the Sports Direct outlet at Mahon Point on Thursday, 29 October, when fans will have the opportunity to meet some of Cork’s footballers and hurlers between 5pm and 6.30pm. The new kit is available for purchase at O’Neill’s and Sports Direct shops nationwide.

“We’ve leaned into some of the things that we believe Cork GAA stands for and is universally associated with – strength, identity and power,” said Cork GAA CEO, Kevin O’Donovan.

“There’s such a rich heritage across both codes and we wanted the inclusion of the county crest to reflect that. We look forward to seeing our greatest ambassadors, our players, donning our beloved ‘blood and bandage’ as we approach 2027 with hope and unity.”

The launch of Cork’s away jersey and training kit is expected in the next few weeks.
