LAST UPDATE | 5 Nov
GARTH BROOKS HAS announced his return to Ireland for 10 concerts next summer, but Dublin is noticeably absent from the tour schedule.
The US country star will play two nights each in Belfast, Galway, Kilkenny, Limerick and Cork during May and June 2027.
Brooks last performed in Ireland in September 2022, when he played five sold-out concerts at Croke Park.
“This has been a dream of mine since the first time we played Ireland. Once you get a taste of how the Irish love music, you can’t play there enough!” Brooks said.
The tour opens at Belfast’s Boucher Road on 21 May before heading to four stadiums around the country, finishing in Cork on 19 June.

Brooks’ somewhat rocky relationship with Irish audiences stretches back more than three decades.
He played eight nights at Dublin’s Point Depot in 1994, before returning for three Croke Park concerts in 1997.
His planned return in 2014 became one of Ireland’s most protracted concert controversies, after around 400,000 tickets were sold for five Croke Park shows before event licences had been secured.
Dublin City Council approved three concerts but refused permission for the remaining two, amid objections over disruption to residents around the stadium. Brooks insisted he would play all five or none, and the entire run was cancelled.
The dispute reached the Oireachtas, with representatives of the council, GAA and promoter appearing before a committee to explain how the concerts had unravelled.
He eventually returned in September 2022, playing five sold-out Croke Park concerts to more than 400,000 people, ending a 25-year gap between his Irish performances.
In a statement this afternoon, Cork GAA said it was “delighted” to welcome the country music star to Páirc Uí Chaoimh in 2027.
“These concerts will bring the stadium to life once more, along with significant social and economic value to the region,” a statement from the county board said.
The concerts there will potentially have a knock-on impact on the All-Ireland football championship next year, as in the event of the Cork senior footballers having a home game in Round 3 of the All-Ireland on the same weekend, this game will have to be played in Páirc Uí Rinn.
